Come and make a real difference: we’re looking for a Female Assistant Service Manager – Homecare to help make everyday remarkable for our friendly team in Bridgend. We are dedicated to supporting adults to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community.
In this role, you’ll work alongside the Service Manager to ensure the delivery of a safe, high‑quality, person‑centred homecare service, support the day‑to‑day operation of the service, guide and lead care staff, and ensure care is delivered in line with individual support plans, regulatory requirements and best practice.
You’ll be visible within the service, working on a rota basis, assisting with service coordination, quality monitoring, staff supervision and performance management. In the absence of the Service Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the service, leading the team, conducting one‑to‑ones and appraisals, facilitating team meetings, and ensuring safe and effective service delivery. By building positive relationships with colleagues, families and stakeholders, you’ll help create a caring, supportive environment that enables people to live well at home and make everyday remarkable.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
* Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
* A strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
* Working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
* Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
* Full driving licence – essential, and ability to travel for meetings and training
* Access to your own car and willingness to use it to transport people we support to and from activities, with business insurance provided for which we pay 55p per mile
