About the role As a Senior Buyer Indirects, you will be delivering high-quality procurement support, building trusted relationships with suppliers, and contributing to procurement excellence across our indirect categories. You will be leading end-to-end contract negotiations and managing supplier relationships, alongside supporting procurement digitalisation initiatives and leading projects. Duties include: Ownership of defined procurement categories across UK and Ireland Manage relationships through SRM and performance management Develop and maintain supplier scorecards Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement category strategies Contribute to overall procurement strategy through savings and risk mitigation Increase procurement spend placed under contract Use SAP Business Intelligence and Qlik for category reporting Track and report achievements using KPIs and metrics Support procurement leadership with UK and Group-wide strategies Assist with tender processes Support junior colleagues This role helps us deliver procurement excellence, strengthen supplier partnerships and improve value for our customers and our business. Youll collaborate with colleagues across teams and support our purpose of building sustainable, progressive solutions. Hours: Mon to Fri. 9am to 5pm. The role is based at our Sandtoft office, with hybrid working options to allow home-working 2 to 3 days a week (depending on business needs). Frequent travel is expected and therefore a company car/allowance is provided. About you Essential Good procurement skills and experience Proven experience in supplier-facing decision-making roles Collaborative team player used to fast-paced environments Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills Experience managing indirect spend categories Understanding of commercial contracts and legal terms Track record of delivering cost savings Experience with modern procurement methodologies Strong analytical and numeracy skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Able to communicate complex strategies clearly Commercially astute and proactive Driving license and flexibility to travel Desirable Knowledge of SAP systems Understanding of ESG principles MCIPS qualified or working towards Degree educated or equivalent training/experience About our Benefits Monthly paid Competitive salary Annual bonus up to 8% Youll have 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
