You possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage difficult conversations while maintaining a high level of customer care. You have both the initiative and judgement to resolve daily issues and the ability to build relationships with key agencies. What the Job Involves As an Income Officer, you will maximize income collection and reduce arrears for households in managed accommodations. You will assist tenants in financial difficulties by signposting them to support services and, when necessary, take legal recovery actions up to eviction. You will be accountable for budgetary tasks, such as agreeing on payment plans and deciding on referrals to court. Collaborating with the Council's legal team, you will represent the Council in court proceedings. Additionally, you will provide financial assessments, budgeting advice to tenants, and maintain up-to-date records on income management systems.
