Procurement Category Manager Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global business as a seasoned Category Manager, specializing in Hard FM spend areas. You will be responsible for managing large value and complex projects, leveraging your strategic approach and expertise.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in category management, with a strong background in Hard FM. They will be able to develop, design, and continuously improve category strategies, end-to-end sourcing within designated spend areas, and work closely with senior business leads to develop category plans.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Report into the Head of Global Procurement - Facilities Management, working alongside a good-sized team of colleagues at various levels.
* Develop and refine category strategies, driving commercial value for the business.
* Manage and advise on market trends, new innovations, and supplier market knowledge.
* Engage, negotiate, and influence senior stakeholders up to Board Level.
* Maintain effective stakeholder relationships, using different approaches based on type, level, and maturity.
* Work collaboratively within a cross-functional procurement team.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in category management, focusing on Hard FM.
* Strong strategic category management skills in a large, complex business environment.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver savings in similar-sized businesses.
* Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage regulated and unregulated complex projects.
