Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery is looking to recruit an experienced nurse practitioner to join their friendly team on a full or part-time basis. The successful candidate will need to see patients for minor illnesses and work autonomously. The main responsibilities of the role include: Providing care for the presenting patient, from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base. Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients’ conditions, initiating direct referrals as appropriate. Providing expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues. As an independent prescriber: prescribing safe, effective and appropriate medication, as defined by current legislative framework. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: Registered with the NMC. Experience of working within primary care. Qualified, and experienced, working as an independent prescriber. Work with minimal supervision. Demonstrate critical thinking in the decision-making process.
