Head of Commissioning
We're looking for a Head of Commissioning to join our Water team as a strategic, functional leader across our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks business division.
Location: Nationwide - applications will be considered from any UK location. The position is remote with some travel to operational sites across the UK, as required.
Hours: 45 hours per week
Responsibilities:
In this role, you'll work within our Water team in the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks - Water division. You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Kier's water business unit commissioning strategy. Ensuring alignment with Kier's policies, procedures, and technical standards across all UK water frameworks for optimal delivery is essential.
Your daily tasks include:
1. Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing strategies for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
2. Technical Oversight: Providing expert input and oversight for commissioning water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
3. Project Delivery: Collaborating with pre-construction teams to integrate commissioning requirements into the project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile:
This role is suitable for candidates with:
* A degree or HNC in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or related). Chartered status is desirable.
* Extensive experience in commissioning within the water/wastewater industry.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards governing water and wastewater commissioning.
