Job Summary
We are looking for a new employee to be based in Summary:This Buyer (Direct) role will be coordinating activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.
What a typical day looks like:
1. Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production and managing purchase orders.
2. Regular, weekly check of the stocks, avoiding overstock and minimizing the risk of obsolescence with the help of the weekly check of the obsolete report.
3. Correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation.
4. Dealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues.
5. Investigation inventory levels and checking the inventory of critical materials (personally if needed) according to the Shortage List
6. Getting in touch with the right warehouse personnel and having the discrepancy modified if there is any inventory discrepancies.
7. Assuring all active components according to production needs, in time, for the accord price in the request.
8. Confers with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
9. Manages supplier to price, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate..
10. Conducts quarterly supplier reviews.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
11. At least 1 year of procurement experience.
12. Good MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) skills
13. Knowledge of an ERP software
14. CIPS qualification is preferred
15. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
