We are seeking a creative and inspiring Music Teacher to join a vibrant Performing Arts department. If you are passionate about music education and enthusiastic about nurturing students’ musical talents, we would love to hear from you. You will teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to deliver GCSE and A-Level Music depending on experience. The role includes both classroom teaching and contributions to the school’s rich extra-curricular music programme, including choirs, ensembles, and performances. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Music Teacher:
1. Deliver engaging music lessons that inspire creativity, performance, and musical appreciation
2. Prepare students for internal assessments and public examinations (GCSE/A-Level if applicable)
3. Teach a broad curriculum including composition, music theory, and performance skills
4. Encourage participation in musical ensembles, productions, and school events
5. Maintain and manage musical instruments and classroom resources
6. Foster a love for music in a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Ideal Music Teacher:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. A degree in Music or a related discipline
3. Strong musical ability, including proficiency in at least one instrument
4. Experience in classroom teaching and music direction (NQTs/ECTs welcome)
5. Excellent communication and classroom management skills
6. A commitment to inclusive, engaging, and high-quality music education
