Cost of Living Assistance Fund Officer - Fixed Term
Full-time, 37 hours per week – 1-year contract.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible individual willing to go the extra mile. The successful candidate will assess applications for grants through the Council's Cost of Living Assistance Fund and provide advice, support, or signposting to other organizations to help with rising living costs.
You should have a proactive attitude, be able to organize and prioritize your workload, and ensure applications are processed in line with grant policies, with decisions communicated promptly and accurately.
The role requires understanding the needs of residents seeking financial aid and assisting them through the application process, including communicating decisions in writing, over the phone, or face-to-face.
You will work as part of a busy team but must also be confident to work independently.
