The Role
You’ll work in each of our 3 distinct specialisms:
1. Security risk analysis,
2. Physical Security systems (e.g. designing hostile vehicle mitigation solutions, physical barriers such as secure walls, doors etc, and fencing solutions)
3. Electronic security systems (e.g. electronic access control systems, video surveillance systems, intruder detection systems, and command and control equipment).
Your day-to-day tasks will vary, as we’ll expose you to all aspects of our work so you can discover what suits you. You could be;
4. Working on live projects from day one – click to view some of our exciting projects
5. In a variety of sectors from healthcare to hospitality, mission critical to Government works.
6. Developing security need assessments, security strategies and risk assessments in order to validate the need for security measures.
7. Calculating hostile vehicle impact energies and understanding manufacture specifications, standards and best practices.
8. Producing detailed designs that incorporate, drawings, schedules, schematics and specifications.
9. Writing detailed staged reports and requirements
10. Using the latest computer software to include (but not limited to) Bluebeam, CAD and Revit
11. Presenting design options to clients or design teams.
12. Continuous CPD and learning opportunities.
A good level of communication is critical for this role as we regularly liaise with project teams, meet clients or end users, and attend collaborative meetings.

What We Are Looking For
13. An expected or achieved 2.1 or above in a relevant engineering degree or equivalent BSc qualification. A Masters or other relevant post graduate qualification is an advantage.
14. Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage but not necessary.
15. An understanding of Bluebeam, CAD / Revit or similar modelling software is an advantage, but training will be offered.
16. Attention to detail with a good understanding for the importance of quality and clear practical sense.
17. High level of skill in written output, use of spreadsheets and formulas, and able to produce high quality marketing output using appropriate software.
18. Able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) before appointment and be willing to undergo National Security Vetting if required.
19. Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills, and a proven ability to manage your own time efficiently.
20. Ability to work in a group environment and show capability of working independently.
