Secondary Academy based in Merton, South London are looking for an experienced teacher of Computer Science who can deliver lessons from KS3 to KS5. You will have the opportunity to work with an already highly reputable school and join a performing and well-organised Computer Science department. This position is until Easter or earlier on a temporary basis, ongoing till the end of the academic year with a potential extension for the right candidate.Your new role
Starting after Easter, you will be responsible for teaching Computer Science from KS3 to KS5. As this is a long-term assignment, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils’ work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom.This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate, and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability. As this is a long-term position, you will also be required to attend occasional parents’ evenings and contribute to other school functions.What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and ideally have experience of teaching Computer Sciences from KS3 to KS5. School would consider ECT / NQT. You must be available to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis and be able to work through to July 2024 with potential extension to the next academic year, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department.What you'll get in return
