Class 1 Driver – Full Time | Permanent

£33,000 – £38,000 per year (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a busy and growing operation. This role offers a mix of day and night work, providing variety while maintaining consistent, full-time hours.

The Role
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of palletised freight, working across both day and overnight routes.
Most loads will be handled via forklift, though there may be occasional use of electric pallet trucks and some manual handling required.
Key Responsibilities
* Driving a Class 1 vehicle to deliver and collect palletised freight
* Completing both day and night routes as required
* Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
* Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, on time, and accurately
* Using pallet trucks where necessary
* Completing all relevant paperwork and records
* Following all driver hours, transport, and health & safety regulations
* Representing the business professionally when dealing with clients and partners
* Supporting transport team with compliance and operational standards
Requirements
* Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
* Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
* Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience preferred
* Comfortable working both day and night shifts
* Good time management and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Professional, reliable attitude
Working Hours
* 45 hours per week
* Core shifts include:
* Days: 04:30 – 14:30 (majority)
* Days: 07:00 – 17:00 (occasional)
* Nights: 18:30 – 06:30
* Working pattern typically Tuesday to Saturday or Monday to Friday (flexibility required)
* 1-hour unpaid break
* Occasional Saturday or Monday overtime available
