What does the role involve?
1. Achieve a high standard of care.
2. Lead the care team to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
3. Maintain effective verbal and written communication, including accurate reports on residents and informing senior team members of daily changes.
4. Ensure care procedures are carried out according to policy.
5. Manage the ordering, administration, and recording of medicines in compliance with policy and statutory requirements.
6. Provide personal care such as washing, dressing, and toileting for residents.
7. Offer physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort to residents.
8. Supervise staff and conduct appraisals within the allocated team or unit.
9. Implement routine or procedural changes as agreed with the Manager.
10. Assess prospective clients/residents.
11. Complete duty rotas as required.
12. Perform internal quality audits in coordination with the Manager.
13. Participate in staff training and development programs.
14. Assist the Manager in working within budget constraints, primarily fulfilling Deputy Manager responsibilities.
