Description Mental Health & Wellbeing Services
Location: Eastbourne
Full time salary: £30,914 per year. Calculated pro-rata for part time hours
Hours: 30 per week, including regular evening and alternate weekend shifts, and bank holidays
Staying Well is an innovative out of hours crisis mental health service which supports clients experiencing a mental health crisis. Staying Well provides crisis intervention to increase resilience and coping skills, empowering clients to safely manage their wellbeing within the community. We are open 7 days a week, (including bank holidays), from 5pm on weekdays and 3pm at the weekend.This role will support the Team Manager in running the Staying Well Eastbourne service, an innovative out-of-hours service providing support to people experiencing acute distress due to mental health difficulties. This psychologically informed service follows a crisis café model, which we deliver across East Sussex. The service is staffed by a mix of paid Recovery Specialists and Peer Workers.We are looking to appoint a Coordinator to provide line management and supervision to the Peer Workers in our team, based in Eastbourne. The role will involve regular evening and alternate weekend shifts.
You will be working alongside the team and coordinating the day-to-day running of the service. Coordinators liaise with the Team manager and Service Manager to ensure the overall quality of the service and assist in meeting its stated objectives.You will be closely supported by the Team Manager in your role and will be experienced in using techniques to motivate and support people effectively.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of our innovative community mental health services within Eastbourne. It also provides an opportunity for successful candidates to widen their experience in supporting people with a wide range of mental health challenges. This role would suit candidates who want to hone their managerial skills and work autonomously.

Skills, knowledge and experienceWhat youll need for the role:
* Experience working with people with mental health needs
* You have a good understanding of local NHS and other support services
* Youre experienced in using techniques to motivate and support people effectively
* An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be paid for by Southdown
