A Behaviour Support Assistant will Deliver support to children across the ages of 11 to 19 years old, on a one-to-one and small-group basis. Behavioural support assistants will encourage positive social interactions and build positive relationships with peers. Building strong and lasting relationships with students across the school, showing a caring nature and being a positive role model. Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial Friendly and nurturing qualities. Competent behaviour management skills. Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities – PMLD, MLD, ADHD, ADD, ASD, Global Delay, VI, HI, SEMH Preferably moving and handling training or have recent experience in this. Have a patient and caring nature. Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Willing to complete CPD training.
