We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at our purpose-built practice in Sale, on a temporary basis for 12 months.
Your New Role
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play an essential role in supporting our veterinary team in a range of clinical tasks, including assisting with surgical procedures, promoting dental care, and providing consultations for health checks and general care. You will be responsible for running nurse clinics, offering services such as weight management, laser therapy, and more. The role offers a variety of surgical procedures, providing opportunities to develop your skills across different aspects of veterinary care.
Our Practice
Sale is a purpose-built practice with excellent facilities, including 4 consultation rooms, separate cat and dog wards, an isolation ward, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and brand-new laparoscopic equipment.
We are a training practice, so if you're interested in becoming a clinical coach, we'll support your development. We've also earned the IVC Evidensia Patient Safety Award and are an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic. Additionally, one of our nurses has a special interest in behaviour and further training, and we're eager to develop this service at the clinic level.
What's the Team Like?
The team at Sale is hardworking, but we always make time to enjoy ourselves! We hold regular funded team days out, such as escape rooms, kayaking, axe throwing, and crazy golf. We also host monthly wellbeing afternoons with activities like movie marathons, Mario Kart tournaments, yoga sessions, and even baby showers!
We are a clinically progressive practice that values team input. Monthly team meetings ensure everyone's voice is heard, and we're always open to suggestions for improvement.
Flexible Working Options
At White Cross Vets, we believe that work-life balance is key to being your best self. That's why we offer flexible rota patterns and working hours that fit with your lifestyle—whether you're just starting your career or looking to balance work with personal commitments.
Our standard full-time pattern is 37.5 hours per week, and the practice is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. We are temporarily closed on Saturdays, and there is no out-of-hours (OOH) requirement.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who is committed to delivering high clinical standards and providing excellent patient care. You should be able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, offering both technical expertise and excellent client care.
