DRIVERS LICENCE AND ACCESS TO OWN VEHICHLE IS ESSENTIAL
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. ideally 2.5/ 3 days per week with every second weekend. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to assist others, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role involves working closely with clients who may require assistance due to age, illness, or disability.
***PLEASE NOTE CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK EVERY SECOND WEEKEND***
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Assist clients with daily living activities and mobility support.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
* Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and meal preparation.
* Support clients with dementia care and hospice care needs when required.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status.
Skills
* Experience in home care or nursing home settings is preferred but not essential
* Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* A valid driver's licence is required for this position
* Compassionate approach towards individuals requiring care, particularly those dealing with dementia or terminal illnesses.
