Responsibilities:
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment to ensure smooth operation.
* Diagnose faults and prioritise tasks to minimise downtime.
* Maintain and optimise pumps, valves, compressed air systems, and chemical blending processes.
* Support engineering projects including installations, commissioning, and relocations.
* Carry out mechanical fitting, pipework, and pump maintenance tasks.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and record activities in the CMMS system.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Time-served apprenticeship or strong hands-on experience, ideally in chemical or food manufacturing.
* NVQ/C&G mechanical qualifications (Tig Welding) (HNC/HND desirable).
* Mechanical fitting skills (welding, pipework, valves, pumps).
* COMAH experience and knowledge of chemical/stainless-steel fabrication desirable.
* Ability to read technical drawings and work safely to standards
