We are looking for a talented Senior Building Surveyor to join our Modular Building team.

The Role:
To lead the design and delivery of modular building construction projects, providing a service of the highest quality. Delivering successful projects safely, on time, on budget and with good client feedback.
What you’ll do:
1. Provide a building surveying service that is high quality, creative and effective, planning, designing, and delivering successful projects safely, on time and budget, with good client feedback.
2. Be responsible for the leadership and management of a multiple projects ranging from £0.5 to £2 million, including contract administration.
3. To lead, coordinate and inspire multi-disciplinary design teams to achieve the efficient and effective delivery of projects and programmes, aligning their progress at all stages and meeting financial fee targets.
4. Undertaking surveys, inspections and investigations where necessary, preparing reports on the findings
5. Exercise a balance of conservation, design, construction technology and project management to create and deliver appropriate solutions that achieve the client’s aims, offer best value and are fit for purpose.
6. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, users and other stakeholders – sometimes in sensitive and/or challenging situations, to build and maintain positive and productive relationships and achieve successful outcomes.
7. Demonstrate and maintain a high level of competence, technical and specialist knowledge.
8. Support the development of design and construction best practice across Property Services, through your own commitment, initiative and example.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a qualified professional with an HNC in Building Studies or equivalent, and extensive experience in building surveying and project management. You should have a thorough understanding of statutory requirements such as Health and Safety and Building Regulations, alongside strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as is proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, well-organised, and able to make sound judgements in complex situations while demonstrating strong customer focus and resilience. Experience in the Principal Designer role, report writing, and leading multi-disciplinary teams is desirable.
