.NET Developer (Contract) – Internal/Admin Systems | Outside IR35 | Remote (UK)
We’re recruiting for a mid-level .NET Developer to join a small team building internal system administration tools for a data-driven platform.
This role is focused entirely on internal tooling (not customer-facing product), supporting operational teams with managing platform data, configuration, users, and integrations.
What you’ll be doing
* Building CRUD-based admin interfaces (create, update, manage platform data)
* Developing user management, roles, and access control features
* Working with platform configuration and structured datasets
* Integrating with external systems via APIs
* Delivering pragmatic, maintainable solutions within a small team
Tech requirements
* Strong experience with .NET and ASP.NET Core
* Solid SQL Server experience (writing queries, working with data models)
* Experience building APIs and system integrations
* Experience building internal tools, admin panels, or back-office systems is essential
This role is not suited to
* Frontend-only developers
* Engineers focused purely on greenfield product work
* Developers without hands-on data or API experience
Contract details
* 3-month initial contract
* Outside IR35
* £300/day
* Remote-first (UK-based), with occasional travel to Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire
* Immediate start preferred
