Job Description Were seeking an experienced Electrical Pump Service Engineer (Field Based) to join our market leading client, specialising in pumping equipment solutions, boasting over sixty years of industry expertise around the Cardiff area! Youll work alongside a Mechanical Engineer responding to breakdowns, performing servicing, and handling installation and commissioning of a wide range of pumping systems. This role is perfect for an electrically biased engineer with a Level 3 Electrical qualification plus 17th or 18th Edition, ideally with experience in pumping equipment, valves, pipework, drainage, utilities, or water/wastewater sites. This is a Full-Time, Permanent position! What youll be doing Electrical servicing, installation and commissioning of a wide range of pumping systems including pumps, pumping stations, kiosks, control panels and monitoring systems Carry out maintenance, inspections and performance monitoring of equipment Troubleshoot faults and carry out high-quality repairs Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns Complete accurate site reports and maintain clear records Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the business professionally Drive the company van and ensure it is well stocked and maintained Manage petty cash and process payments efficiently Hours Monday-Friday, Day Shifts, 40 hours per week (flexibility required) Pay Basic salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience) With overtime, most engineers earn up to £60,000 per annum Overtime paid at enhanced rates Annual performance bonuses approx. £1,300 per year Skills/Experience Required A valid UK driving licence is essential NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering 17th or 18th Edition qualification Previous hands-on experience with pumping equipment such as pumps, control systems, monitoring systems or similar Willingness to stay away from home occasionally CSCS card, First Aid training, Confined space certification are all desirable Benefits Fully funded pension (after 3 years service) 30 days holiday (including bank holidays), rising to 33 after 1 year Annual performance-related bonus Private healthcare, critical illness & death in service cover Ongoing training & career progression opportunities Day shifts no weekends Free on-site parking Growing, long-established business Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates All expenses covered Tools provided Flexible working arrangements Minimal overnight stays (approx. once a fortnight) Essential All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).
