Medical Laboratory Assistant – Lincoln
Full‑time position in the Cellular Pathology department at Lincoln County Hospital, providing tissue diagnostics for both Lincolnshire NHS Trusts. Closing date: 30 April 2026.
Responsibilities
* Specimen reception and data entry
* Sample processing, including microtomy
* Equipment maintenance and slide filing
* Other general laboratory tasks
* Adhering to laboratory guidelines and standard operating procedures
* Working shifts 08:00‑17:30, including rotational weekend duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
* GCSE or equivalent, including science and basic IT skills
* Good numeracy and literacy (ideally GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics and English)
* Experience in a process‑focused environment or laboratory
* Comfortable with information technology and complex laboratory equipment
* Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
* Effective communication with healthcare professionals
* Previous laboratory experience is an advantage
Additional Information
