Senior Housing Lawyer x2 posts
(One in Disrepair and one in General Litigation Team)
PO7: Starting salary £59,772 pa, rising to £62,922 pa incl LW, plus £5,000 pa market supplement
In addition, new legally qualified starters receive a £5,000 welcome bonus, payable 50% after 6 months and 50% after 12 months.

About the Team:
This role involves managing a team and a busy caseload. Candidates should be highly organized, proactive, flexible, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Maintaining quality assurance and performance standards is essential.
About the Role:
There are two posts: one focusing on disrepair, the other on housing and general litigation. Both involve managing contested litigation and providing legal advice, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality advice and representation.
Senior Housing Lawyer (General Litigation):
You will lead on defending and initiating claims under housing, landlord and tenant, contract, tort, personal injury, judicial review, statutory review, homelessness, highways, and local government law.
Senior Housing Lawyer (Disrepair):
You will lead on claims under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Environmental Health Act 1990, Defective Premises Act 1972, and contractual claims from tenants and leaseholders, including breach applications. Both roles require thorough knowledge of housing and local government law, experience in court representation and instructing counsel, familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules, drafting legal documents, and providing legal advice.
