Role Description
This is a full-time role for an AV and Events Warehouse Operative / Technician, located in Crawley. The role involves supporting the logistics and technical operations of AV equipment for events, productions, and installations. The position combines technical proficiency, organizational skills, and teamwork to ensure the seamless preparation, maintenance, and dispatch of AV gear.
Key Responsibilities
* Equipment Preparation and Maintenance: Inspect, clean, and test a wide range of AV equipment, including microphones, amplifiers, cameras, projectors, screens, communication systems, wireless microphones, and audio consoles. Ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition, correctly labeled, and matches job requirements.
* Inventory Management: Utilize management software to manage job sheets, track equipment, raise issues with Project Managers or the Warehouse Manager, conduct regular stock checks, and accurately check-in returning orders and pull orders for customers and productions, ensuring accuracy of equipment counts. Assist in ensuring shows are prepped correctly, cost-effectively, and on time.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Support the daily operation of the AV warehouse, keeping areas clean, organized, and safe.
* Customer Interaction: Interact with internal and external customers in the warehouse, providing assistance and information as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Technical Proficiency: Experience with AV equipment such as moving lights, LED fixtures, and control systems.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage inventory and equipment efficiently.
* Communication Skills: Effective interaction with team members and clients.
* Physical Stamina: Capability to lift and move heavy equipment.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
