To continue with our growth plans for 2024 and beyond we are searching for Graduate Quantity Surveyors to join our Professional Development Programme for our autumn 2024 intake. This role would be working on projects within the Isle of Wight and Southampton area for our CMDP joint venture framework.
CMDP is a joint venture between MWH Treatment and Costain and will deliver a range of schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works in the Hampshire side of the region.
This role will be working on the Sandown Project. For the first year you will be expected to travel to our Testwood location (Southampton) consequently moving to Sandown on the Isle of Wight once the offices are mobilised on site.
Working within the commercial team you will support the commercial manager by providing assistance in the following;
1. Administrating our contracts and issuing the correct contractual notices
2. Producing integrated cost forecasts for projects
3. Managing commercial issues related to withheld, disputed or disallowed costs
4. Assisting with resolution of disputes and learning negotiation strategies
5. Assisting with subcontract preparation following procurement
6. Assessing interim and final accounts
7. Pricing additional and varied works
