Senior Project Manager
Salary: £110,000 – £120,000 per annum, plus benefits

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-value, complex projects within the power generation sector.
This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in the UK’s energy transition, overseeing the full project lifecycle from inception through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
You will manage multidisciplinary teams, drive project excellence, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale power generation projects, ensuring technical and commercial success.
* Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
* Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk registers; ensure robust cost control and reporting.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing effective resolution strategies.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all stages of project delivery.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to project teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
* Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and performance reviews to senior management and stakeholders.
* Champion best practices in project management, including the use of Earned Value Management and recognised project management tools.
The Person
* Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline; professional project management qualification (e.g., APM PMQ, PMP, or equivalent) highly desirable.
* Extensive experience in managing high-value, complex projects within the power generation or broader energy sector (e.g., gas, renewables, nuclear, hydropower).
* Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget, ideally in a regulated environment.
* Strong commercial acumen, with experience in contract management, cost control, and claims resolution.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
* Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project), financial management, and risk assessment tools.
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with a commitment to operational excellence.
