We are recruiting for a CAD Engineer to support high-impact warehouse automation and materials handling projects.
🔧 The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the Solution Design Team and delivering high-quality technical drawings and equipment applications for complex automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support solution development across multiple automation projects
* Lead preparation of detailed technical drawings and equipment layouts
* Develop concept designs and translate them into precise manufacturing drawings
* Collaborate closely with Solutions and Engineering teams to refine system designs
* Ensure drawings meet industry standards and internal guidelines
* Manage drawing files, libraries and version control processes
* Mentor junior engineers in system design and specification
* Stay up to date with industry technologies and best practices
✅ What We’re Looking For
* Degree qualified (or 5+ years’ experience) in material handling system design
* Expert user of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar CAD software
* Strong understanding of materials handling processes, tolerances and system integration
* Ability to create accurate concept designs and detailed technical drawings from first principles
* Knowledge of structural analysis and load calculations
* Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
* Confident communicator, comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams
* Able to manage multiple projects independently
