Head of Health & Safety
£80,000–£85,000 | NW1, Central London | FTSE 250 Property Portfolio

We’re looking for a Head of Health & Safety to join a high-profile, FTSE 250 real estate business with a diverse London-wide portfolio of over 60 properties and 4,000 tenants. This is a visible, strategic role where you’ll have genuine influence at Board level while staying close enough to operations to make a tangible difference.
The Role
Reporting to the Company Secretary and working closely with the CEO and Executive Board, you will:
* Act as the principal H&S advisor to the Board and Executive Committee
* Ensure full compliance with legislation, ACOPs and industry best practice
* Lead and continuously improve the company-wide H&S management system
* Oversee fire risk and asbestos management across the portfolio
* Manage the insurance risk improvement register with insurers
* Sit on the Minor Capex Committee to advise on H&S implications of projects
* Conduct portfolio-wide audits, site inspections and risk assessments
* Investigate incidents and implement preventative action
* Build capability across the business through training, coaching and challenge
You’ll be equally comfortable presenting to the Main Board as you are walking a redevelopment site or advising teams on tenant-related risks.

What We Are Looking For
* NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety
* Strong knowledge of fire safety, building regulations and workplace regulations
* Experience with asbestos management (ideally BOHS P405)
* Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and influence at executive level
* Confident communicator with the ability to stand their ground when needed
* Hands-on, pragmatic, and commercially aware
