Consultant ENT - Specialist Interest in Head & Neck Surgery

Job summary
The ENT department at West Herts Hospitals is seeking to appoint an ENT consultant for a 10 PA, one-year fixed-term contract. This role is generalist with a specialist interest in head & neck surgery. Experience and training in the surgical management of common, non-specialised conditions in children are also expected. Job share and part-time applications are welcome.
Successful candidates will join the Head & Neck directorate of ENT, Oral Surgery & Ophthalmology. The team includes 2 consultants, 1 associate specialist, 4 speciality doctors, 3 SHOs, and 1 specialist nurse. Services are provided across all West Herts sites, including Watford General, St Albans City Hospital, and Hemel Hempstead Hospital.
The appointee will participate in the regional on-call network via East & North Herts (Lister Hospital), supporting out-of-hours services for Hertfordshire's population.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and theatre updates underway at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join our team.
Main duties of the job
This appointment is made by West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (WHTH). The role involves cross-site work, with opportunities for educational and training activities. The job plan, to be confirmed, will include clinic, theatre, on-call, and administrative duties, structured around 10 PA's for full-time applicants.
Job plans may be reviewed as service needs change. The Trust has long day working hours and may consider weekend working in the future.

Candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
* Full GMC Registration
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via:
* CCT (proposed CCT date within 6 months of interview)
* CESR or
* European Community Rights
An appropriate higher ENT qualification is required.

Salary ranges from £105,504 to £139,882 per year, with an additional £149 per annum for London Fringe.
