About The Role
We have a brand‑new opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Leeds office with a focus on healthcare buildings. Located in the heart of the city, we serve a wide geography while contributing to the transformation of healthcare facilities, creating patient‑centred environments that support recovery.
Key Responsibilities
* Client‑facing role: attend project meetings and disseminate the brief within the project team.
* Lead the development of initial strategic concepts ensuring solutions meet the brief and regulatory standards.
* Take responsibility for solid technical delivery either alone or as part of a team.
* Engage with junior support staff, offering advice and guidance to develop their skills.
* Participate in the Firm‑wide Group to gain experience and disseminate knowledge.
* Be financially astute: monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered in partnership with the team leader.
* Innovate: explore new ways of working, time‑out for research, and maintain industry reputation while adhering to QM and risk control procedures.
About You
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or closely related role within the Healthcare sector.
* Understanding of all mechanical services, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with excellent communication skills and a team‑based approach.
* Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
* Self‑aware, open‑mind, generous spirit.
* Conversant with relevant British Standards.
* Previous consultancy experience appreciating complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering and computer modelling.
