North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Advice and Options Manager to lead its service at a critical time of change, supporting delivery ahead of the Renters Rights Act coming into force on 1 May.
Location & Working Arrangements
* Office‑based role, primarily from Kettering
* Travel may be required to Corby or Kettering to meet service needs and attend meetings
* One day per week home working
* Candidates must be local or willing to travel
Pay
* Inside IR35
* Rate negotiable – please specify your required hourly rate with your application
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Housing Advice and Options service, with a focus on the private rented sector
* Prepare and adapt services for upcoming Renters Rights Act changes
* Provide strong people leadership, including performance management
* Drive service improvement, quality standards and operational effectiveness
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and partners to deliver outcomes
About You
* Proven experience within Housing Advice / Options, ideally including private rented sector access work
* Knowledge of, or readiness for, changes introduced by the Renters Rights Act
* A confident leader with a track record of performance management and service transformation
* Able to work in a largely office‑based environment
