That’s why our Family Practitioner role is fundamental to our whole school approach. Working with Children and their families you’ll help the adults better understand and support their child’s mental health needs. You’ll be fundamental in establishing relationships with parents demystifying and reducing stigma around mental health so all children will have opportunities to access the support they need. You’ll help parents develop the skills they need to parent effectively and confidently.
You’ll have a level 4 diploma in Health and Social Care, Early Years or Counselling and Psychotherapy and will have worked in family support services or early years children’s centres, supporting children and families and delivering parenting interventions or programmes. You’ll have access to an enormous range of training and development and a pathway to develop and grow your career. Working closely with the clinicians in school and across your region you will be part of a wider community sharing best practice, developing new concepts and shaping our services for the future.
