The role of a Lead Building Safety Manager is pivotal in maintaining the safety and regulatory compliance of high-risk buildings.
This entails leading a team, collaborating with regulators and residents, and providing strategic oversight for safety initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Establishing building safety standards within the organisation.
* Aligning with the Building Safety Act 2022 and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
* Overseeing critical processes such as preparing Safety Case Reports and managing Mandatory Occurrence Reporting.
* Fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
Furthermore, the Lead Building Safety Manager will:
* Take ownership of building safety across Peabody's high-risk buildings.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to a dedicated team of Building Safety Managers.
* Act as a key liaison with regulators and other stakeholders.
* Drive the implementation of safety policies and risk management strategies.
To excel in this role, one should possess:
* Extensive knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and its practical application.
* Previous senior experience in fire/building safety.
* Demonstrated success in managing safety compliance across complex property portfolios.
* Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities.
