The Role
We are seeking an experienced Repairs Scheduler to coordinate and schedule responsive repairs and maintenance works across social housing stock. Youll be responsible for efficiently allocating jobs to operatives and subcontractors, ensuring timely completion of repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance, while prioritizing resident satisfaction and compliance.
Youll work closely with Repairs Managers, Resident Liaison Officers (RLOs), and trade teams to optimize schedules, manage workloads, and minimize downtime for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule day-to-day responsive repairs and maintenance jobs using scheduling software.
Allocate tasks to in-house operatives and subcontractors based on availability, skills, and location.
Ensure all repairs meet service level agreements (SLAs), health & safety standards, and resident expectations.
Monitor job progress, update systems with real-time status, and handle escalations or reassignments as needed.
Identify and report issues, delays, or variations promptly to the Repairs Manager.
Maintain accurate records including job logs, appointments, and customer feedback.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Repairs Scheduler or in a similar scheduling role within social housing, property maintenance, or facilities management (essential)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure
Excellent communication and customer service skills able to handle resident queries and team coordination
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage high-volume workloads to meet deadlines
