Practice development officer: Information, advice and guidance

Adults Care and Wellbeing plays a key role in delivering our portfolio vision for people to live the life they want to live. Our Practice Development Team works in conjunction with the Leadership Team and managers across Adults Care and Wellbeing services to bring our vision to life.
We are looking to recruit a practice development officer with extensive knowledge of Health and social care into this team to lead on all aspects of our information, advice and guidance offer. The postholder will:
* Ensure Adults, Care & Wellbeing are compliant with the Care Act 2014, Information, Advice and guidance duties.
* Supports best practice by providing the most up to date advice and information to staff relating to policies procedures and guidance and local resources.
* Work in partnership with services across Sheffield to ensure relevant local resources are linked to the Sheffield directory and that the resource is accurate and accessible to all.
* Work in collaboration with Adult, care and wellbeing teams and the digital transformation team on ongoing essential improvement activities for both the Sheffield Directory and AC&W webpages
* Be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Adult Social Care Manual, and Policy documents (SharePoint), Tri.X and our local resource repository
* Gather data and undertake analysis of the usage of information, advice and guidance platforms to better understand customer needs
* Be proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions which improve our information, advice and guidance offer for and in collaboration with people across Sheffield and our workforce
The postholder with work under the guidance of the Principal Occupational Therapist and includes line management responsibilities.

The post is City Centre based and currently includes a mix of office based, visits and home working.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
