Night Nurse – Primary Care Team
We are looking for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a Category C Prison in Wolverhampton. The setting is one of the largest prisons in the UK, housing over 1,500 men.
Hours
24/7. Shift pattern (example):
Wk1: Thurs 19:45–07:15, Fri 19:45–07:45, Sat 19:45–10:75
Wk2: Thurs 19:45–07:15, Fri 19:45–07:45
Wk3: Thurs 19:45–07:15, Fri 19:45–07:45
Wk4: Thurs 19:45–07:15, Fri 19:45–07:45
Salary
£27,630.72 per year (Full-time).

Responsibilities
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
* Deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team
* Provide evidence‑based care, actively seek, listen to and act on patient feedback to personalise care
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference
* Forge strong links with partners and stakeholders and promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence‑based care and continuous quality improvement
* Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care and build strong multi‑disciplinary teams
Qualifications
* Registered nurse – Adult; NMC registration
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
* A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (desired)
