About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded architectural and design consultancy, is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their growing team in Preston.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused professional to play a key role in the delivery of a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors (healthcare, life-science, higher-education, defence, advanced manufacturing). You will be involved in projects from concept through to completion, contributing to high-quality, innovative and technically robust design solutions.
Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, you will support the successful delivery of projects by producing detailed technical information, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

The Role
As an Architectural Technologist, you will:
Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction packages across all project stages
Work closely with architects, designers and project teams to translate design concepts into deliverable technical solutions
Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, planning requirements and industry standards
Coordinate with external consultants, contractors and suppliers to support project delivery
Assist in the preparation of planning applications, building regulations submissions and tender documentation
Undertake site visits and liaise with contractors to resolve technical queries and ensure design intent is maintained
Support project delivery to ensure programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved
Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical standards and processes within the team

About You
We are keen to speak with Architectural Technologists who bring:
Proven experience working within an architectural practice or design & build environment
Strong technical knowledge and experience producing detailed construction information
Good understanding of UK building regulations and construction methodologies
Proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit and/or similar BIM tools)
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline

CIAT accreditation or working towards chartership
Experience across commercial, industrial, residential or mixed-use sectors
Knowledge of sustainable construction methods and materials
Experience in project delivery within a fast-paced consultancy environment
