We are pleased to announce a newly created opportunity for a qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA) with a couple of years’ post-qualification experience to join the finance team at ExamWorks UK Ltd. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in audit and tax, looking to broaden their scope within a commercially focused finance function.
As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of statutory financial statements, tax reporting, and group consolidation. You will liaise directly with auditors, contribute to board-level reporting, and support strategic financial initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare financial statements for individual entities and consolidated group accounts
* Act as the primary contact for external auditors during year-end audits
* Coordinate audit requests across finance and other departments
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting to ExamWorks (Premex Group)
* Taxation & Compliance
* Prepare corporation tax and deferred tax calculations, forecasts, and returns
* Provide supporting documentation to tax auditors for year-end computations
* Manage VAT returns and statutory filings
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies
* Board & Management Reporting
* Produce monthly board reports for the Premex Group
* Assist with quarterly reporting to US stakeholders
* Support budgeting and financial modelling for business cases
* Controls & Process Improvement
* Conduct balance sheet reviews and report key financial risks
* Identify and implement process improvements across departments
* Support acquisition integration and contribute to the development of SOX controls
* Participate in the transition to a new finance platform
* Strategic Projects & Analysis
* Prepare consolidated cash flow forecasts
* Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities
* Serve as a technical point of contact for accounting queries across the group
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
* A couple of years’ post-qualification experience
* Strong audit and tax expertise
* Experience in preparing financial statements
* Solid understanding of corporation tax and audit procedures
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
