Youll be joining a large creative studio as Senior Surface Pattern Designer to design trend-led ranges for home accessories, kitchen and dining - developing prints and patterns while also shaping the materials and finishes in the range.
You will report to the Head of Design who promotes a supportive culture with flexible start and finish times, family-friendly flexibility, and fantastic facilities that includes an onsite restaurant and gym with yoga, HIIT, pilates, and other classes all included. THE ROLE
As Senior Surface Pattern Designer you willLead print and pattern development across home accessories, kitchen and dining collections and exploring shapes, materials, and finishes
Take designs from initial concept through to finished product across categories including ceramics, tableware, clocks, candles, vases, faux flowers, frames and wall art
Create trend packs, colour palettes, and mood boards for seasonal and everyday ranges
Conduct market research, attend trade shows, and carry out competitor shops to identify emerging trends
Work closely with Buying and Marketing to ensure cohesive, on-brand collections
Partner with suppliers and factories to deliver commercially viable, high-quality designs
Use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop daily to produce high-standard artwork and concepts
Provide support and mentorship to junior designers, encouraging collaboration and professional development
Travel to trade shows and inspiration trips across the UK, EU, and US (no Far East travel)
ABOUT YOU
Demonstable experience in a Homeware Designer orSurface Pattern Designer role
Confident designing across hard goods and home accessories, with an understanding of materials like ceramics, wood, and plastics
Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with surface print and pattern design skills
Able to balance creativity with commercial thinking, making design decisions that feel right for the customer and the range
Experienced in developing concepts through trend analysis, range building, and design execution
Keen eye for design, detail, and trend relevance within the homewares market
