The Company

Established in 1947, Jacksons is a family-run business with a long standing reputation for supplying market leading fences and gates, all backed by our 25 year guarantee. Our clients range from homeowners purchasing fencing for their gardens, to industry and high security establishments protecting facilities and equipment.

We are seeking a hard working professional to join and support our sales team based in Ashford, Kent. As an ISO 9001:2015 accredited manufacturer, we meet and exceed the demanding requirements of LPS 1175, Secured by Design, and PAS 68 security fences.


What You Will Be Doing

You will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for high security and perimeter protection projects across the UK. You will review architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to calculate material requirements, labour costs, and project timelines.

As a High Security Sales Estimator, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, and support tender submissions. You will conduct site surveys when required, take off quantities from drawings, and liaise with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, while ensuring that all estimates align with certified compliance requirements.

The role requires someone who thrives in a fast paced environment; you will manage multiple estimate requests while maintaining the accuracy and speed that secure project wins. Your analytical thinking and problem solving skills will be essential in delivering estimates that balance competitiveness with profitability.


What You Will Bring

We need someone with proven estimating experience in perimeter security products. You should be confident reading technical drawings and specifications, have excellent numerical skills, and be proficient with estimating software and the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with construction estimating tools and CRM systems would be advantageous.

The Sales Estimator will be responsible for managing and maintaining their own pipeline of enquiries, conducting scheduled follow ups on outstanding quotations, forming strong working relationships with repeat customers, and closing out sales. A positive attitude, a willingness to collaborate, and clear communication skills are essential, as the role requires regular engagement with sales teams, technical colleagues, and suppliers.

Knowledge of LPS 1175 or PAS 68 certified security products will set you apart but not essential. You will need a professional approach, strong organisational ability, and the confidence to communicate clearly and effectively across internal and external stakeholders.

Most importantly, you must bring the drive to succeed in a deadline driven environment where accuracy, responsiveness, and a consistently good attitude are paramount.

Hours of work to be 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, with a 1 hour lunch break.

Initially, the role will be office based while training is completed. Once you are fully competent with our products and systems, the position will transition to a hybrid arrangement that includes home working and client or site visits.

We offer a competitive basic salary and a generous uncapped commission structure.

Due to our remote location own transport is necessary.
