Role Responsibilities
We are currently seeking hardworking, resourceful candidates to join our dynamic team as an Electrical Systems Design Engineer.
The Electrical Systems Design Engineer will be responsible for developing control system solutions, delivering electrical drawings, identifying and scheduling procurement of equipment and components, and designing retro‑fit electrical panels.
This role will work alongside other control system project engineering staff. The ideal candidate should be self‑motivated, a practical problem solver with good communication and written skills, and hold relevant qualifications or previous experience in a similar environment.
The role can be based either at our Yateley office or our London office in Woodford Green. You must be willing to travel to sites all around London and the Greenwich area.
Full‑time position (08:30‑17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:30‑16:00 Friday).
Duties include
* Design of control system solutions including PLCs, networks, SCADA/HMI and telemetry systems.
* Design retro‑fit electrical panels.
* Author and configure system design documentation, network architecture drawings, electrical drawings and general arrangements.
* Aid in the production of detailed design specifications including Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and System Design Specifications (SDS).
* Identify and schedule procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
* Manage and complete site surveys.
Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge
* Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience in electrical design using EPlan, AutoCAD or equivalent.
* Knowledge of automation and control system design.
* Knowledge of control panel design and manufacture.
* Clean UK driving licence.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
