Due to an internal promotion, we seek a Procurement Officer to join the existing team in Annesley (NG15 0DR). You will work remotely up to 3 days per week (subject to business requirements) and must travel across sites.
As a Procurement Officer, you will always build and maintain strong, positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. You will evaluate supply options across varied goods and services portfolios and provide exceptional procurement service to Yusen Logistics. The ideal candidate must have experience in the entire procurement process, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
The salary range for this role is between £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) with an additional £5000 car allowance.

Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong strategic supplier relationships and relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
* Proactive and documented Cross Department Collaboration, query and complaint resolution
* Provide a skilled negotiation service to minimise expenditure but maximise value-added advantages, including areas of cost avoidance.
* Use best-practice sourcing and evaluation techniques, including market intelligence, benchmarking, market testing, competitive tendering, pre-qualification, evaluation, and recommendation of potential suppliers.
* Promote the awareness of the Procurement Department, offering advice and guidance to the business in all matters relating to the procurement of goods and services in line with the use of existing Procurement Policy and Procedures
* Develop service level agreements and key performance indicators to monitor and measure suppliers against pre-determined targets as part of ongoing supplier contract management
* Provide market intelligence and advise the business on the best way to achieve value for money, including total cost of ownership, innovation and sustainability initiatives
* Supporting the department with day-to-day operational requirements
Key requirements:
* Minimum Level 4 CIPS qualified or relevant experience
* Demonstratable experience within a similar role within a Procurement function of a multi-site organisation, ideally with experience in dealing with multiple facilities vendors
* Experienced in using advanced excel
* Work well under pressure with excellent time management
* Fantastic communication and influencing skills
* Ability to build sustainable and productive relationships with suppliers
* Excellent attention to detail
* Hold a driving license and own a vehicle (Necessary for the role)
