A vacancy has arisen for a Corporal (Gnr) to serve as 603 HQ JNCO HQ TRG REGT at 603 (City of Edinburgh) Sqn, Edinburgh on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 June 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). The post holder will be expected to work on some weekends, and plan, organise and participate in other Sqn training and engagement events as necessary. Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentational). The post is responsible for: a. Ensuring adherence to the Sqn TQM, SCD and CRA at all times during training. b. Plan, prepare, co-ordinate and conduct training for Phase 2/3 Gunner personnel and act as their main point of contact if SNCO Trg Regt 2 is not available. c. Assist SNCO RAF Regt to coordinate the allocation of accommodation, training facilities and resources. d. Assist SNCO RAF Regt to coordinate the provision of instructor support for, Phase 3 and Phase 2 Trainee Gunners (TG’s) training weekends. f. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the First Aid and TG equipment and training; including lesson plans (as per the DTTTv2 format) and training aids ensuring they are current and fit for purpose. h. Stand in and conduct the duties of SNCO RAF Regt in their absence. i. Undertake any other role or responsibilities as directed by SNCO RAF Regt, FS Trg or Ops/Trg Off.
