Location: Wirral
Are you a qualified or newly trained Art or Design & Technology teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school?
New Directions Education is recruiting passionate, creative, and resilient educators to support a specialist setting in the Wirral. These roles are ideal for teachers who are committed to inclusive education and keen to support pupils with additional social and emotional needs. Full training and ongoing guidance are provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivering engaging Art or DT lessons tailored to individual needs
2. Supporting pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
3. Assisting with practical classroom activities and project-based work
4. Helping to boost engagement, confidence, and personal development
5. Contributing to a positive, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment
We’re Looking For
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Creativity, patience, and a passion for working with young people
8. Strong behaviour management and communication skills
9. A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to adapt learning to meet SEMH needs
10. Experience in specialist or mainstream settings is beneficial but not essential
