Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people within Peterborough? Do you have experience in public health commissioning and a strong understanding of policy and practice relating to children, young people and mentalhealth strategies?
Peterborough City Council is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Public Health Improvement Officer to join our Public Health Directorate. This role focuses on developing, commissioning, and evaluating evidence-based health improvement programmes for children, young people, and public mental health.
Key responsibilities within the role include;
* Support the commissioning cycle within our Children and Young Peoples team.
* Analyse public health data to inform service planning and delivery.
* Lead collaborative projects with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure services deliver value for money and improved health outcomes.

We are looking for professionals with the following knowledge, skills, and attributes;
* Degree-level qualification in health or a related field (Master's desirable).
* Strong knowledge of public health policy, commissioning, and evaluation.
* Proven experience in project management, partnership working, and contract monitoring.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills.
