JOB- Graduate Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION- Cambridge
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £28,000 to £30,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is currently recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a growing and innovative engineering team based in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to work on a variety of cutting-edge robotics, automation systems, and precision machinery for the medical and healthcare sectors.
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
* A strong academic background with project experience in mechanical design or robotics
* Good 3D CAD skills (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
* Knowledge of mechanical mechanisms, actuators, and motion systems
* An understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for assembly
* A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
* Assisting in the design and development of automated systems and medical devices
* Creating and updating CAD models and technical drawings
* Supporting prototype builds, testing, and analysis
* Working with cross-functional teams including electronics and software engineers
* Participating in design reviews and contributing to continuous product improvements
* Ensuring compliance with relevant medical and engineering standards
