A Snapshot Of Your Day
Join Siemens’ Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine business as a Material Resource Planning (MRP) Controller. You will build, maintain, and communicate detailed delivery plans for specific part orders within our supply chain, ensuring commitment acceptance to enable the master production plan to be achieved. You will also provide the Supply Chain Management Team (SCMT) with clear insight into the delivery schedule’s ability to meet customer and business requirements. Day to day, you’ll collaborate with purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers in a proactive, solutions-focused team culture.
How You’ll Make An Impact
1. Respond to demand changes by advising the Regional Purchase Manager on the implications of meeting customer requirements in line with the Commitment Acceptance (Sales & Operations Planning) process.
2. Maintain component planning data (master and multifaceted) to cascade demand through the supply chain and produce a committed, achievable plan.
3. Plan and manage stock across the supply chain, ensuring specified levels are maintained and consumed in the appropriate order and timeframe.
4. Ensure supplier delivery commitments are accurately reflected in SAP; respond to supplier enquiries and manage adherence to schedule lines (Exception Messages) to deliver to plan, including new part introductions using the Supply Chain pro-forma.
5. Drive process compliance by using company-standard systems, processes, and reports to identify and resolve potential delivery risks.
6. Act as the primary interface with suppliers, leading operational relationships and coordinating improvements in planning, control, inventory, delivery, and lead time.
7. Lead supplier business reviews to ensure both supplier and Siemens Energy requirements are met, evaluating impact to Quality, Cost, and Delivery on the SCMT.
8. Manage and coordinate delivery issues, reporting shortages and recovery programmes to protect the plan; raise and escalate risks as needed.
9. Assess supplier load and capacity constraints that may impact performance and delivery, and work on mitigation actions.
What You Bring
10. Working experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, or a Logistics field, with a proven understanding of production planning and controls.
11. Understanding of quality system requirements, inventory control, and IT systems.
12. Excellent communication skills with a robust, proactive, and problem-solving approach.
13. Ownership for your own development and a growth mindset.
14. a strong focus on taking care of internal partners and customers.
15. Solid understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems.
