Product Support Organisation - New Product Introduction Engineer role at KLA. This role is based in Celtic Lakes, Newport facility, supporting New Product Introduction and Sustaining activities for Etch, PVD, PECVD and Release Etch systems in the Current Product Lineup. Occasional international travel to Europe, Asia, and the USA may be required.

Responsibilities
* Reduce program serviceability risk by acting as the Voice of Service throughout the Product Life Cycle (PLC) for new products by developing a service strategy that includes: Cost of Service Modelling, Reliability Modelling, Retrofits, Intellectual Property protections, calibrations, and PM Optimizations.
* Build expertise in overall system operation, integration, and calibrations/diagnostics with a hands-on approach by learning from Tech Support Engineers and Design Engineers to support Alpha & Beta Systems and retrofits.
* Develop a detailed Product Support Plan (PSP), Service Readiness Review (SRR), Design For Service (DFS) and Cost Of Service (COS) models with engineering, marketing, finance, and service to detail KLA’s strategy for supporting new products.
* Develop product service education and knowledge across the Organisation using training classes, AR, mentoring, documentation, and other knowledge capture tools to elevate readiness to serve.
* Conduct spares obsolescence risk analysis and coordinate with the Spares Planning team to mitigate service supply chain risk, including addressing known issues with GSS Engineering and Operations teams.
* Contribute to service alert meetings and Plan of Action (POA) development for critical issues and sustaining activities. Capture Best Known Methods (BKM) and improvements into knowledge databases.
* Work with cross-divisional NPI Best Practice Team to improve BKMs, participate in discussions, conduct training, and provide feedback.
* Actively manage and support beta installs in-person by auditing procedures, updating documents, identifying training gaps, and solving unforeseen problems to drive continuous improvement for future installs and upgrades. Occasional international travel expected.
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum HNC Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field and relevant experience.
* Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
* Proficiency with basic Microsoft software packages.
* Excellent presentation skills with comfort presenting to various audiences.
* Experience with SPTS products is highly desirable.
* Eagerness to learn new technologies, processes, and techniques.
