Assistant Gas Engineer (Mains & Services)
Location: Twickenham, TW18
Starting Salary Dependant on experience: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum + Overtime + Pension + Healthcare
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Gas Engineer who will play a vital role in assisting the Gas Network/Service Engineer to install, replace and maintain underground pipework and associated equipment at customer’s premises and public highways.
The Ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and possess strong customer service skills. They will also be able to prioritise well and work to tight schedules.
Key responsibilities
* Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE
* Assist the Gas Network/Service Engineer with all aspects of the role
* Domestic & Commercial site work including installations, replacement and maintenance of underground pipe work.
* Manual handling
* Operating Pneumatic tooling in a safe manner
* Use mechanical excavators
* Use of breathing apparatus
* Travel will be required as part of the role.
Requirements
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
* Must be eligible to work unrestricted in the UK
* Experience in a similar role
* Be flexible and willing to travel
* Have strong customer services skills
* Be an organised individual
* Ideally hold a EUSR SHEA Gas safety qualification
* Ideally hold a NRSWA certificate for operatives
* Ideally Hold a NPORS plant operators qualification
