COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAM

LANGLEY, UK

What is Travelport?

Travelport is the brains behind lots of your travel bookings. Plane, car or hotel. You name it, we do it. Our technology is used to book that magical family holiday, infamous bachelorette party or long overdue school reunion. While we can't solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we're looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.

We’re on a mission to simplify the complex travel ecosystem and create a more connected, modern, and efficient experience for everyone. At the heart of this transformation is our people — and we’re investing in the next generation of commercial leaders.

About the Program:

The Future Commercial Leaders Rotation Program based at our global HQ in Langley, Berkshire is designed to cultivate a pipeline of future commercial leaders by immersing high-potential MBA or Economics graduates in the strategic functions that drive value across our travel technology business. This program is a strategic investment in our leadership pipeline and a catalyst for innovation, transformation, and commercial excellence across the business. From day one, you'll take ownership of real-world projects, contribute to business-critical deliverables, and be accountable for outputs that drive impact across the organization.

This initiative supports our long-term goals to:

1. Elevate the quality and readiness of future commercial managers.
2. Strengthen succession planning across critical business functions.
3. Embed a culture of transformation, customer-centricity, and commercial rigor.

What You’ll Experience:

Format: Four strategic rotations + Capstone Project

Each rotation lasts ~6 months and focuses on delivering measurable impact:

4. Strategy & Transformation
5. Exposure to corporate strategy, M&A, and change initiatives.
6. Sample Deliverables: Market sizing, competitive analysis, transformation roadmap.
7. Product & Technology
8. Collaboration with product managers and tech leads on commercial-product marketing/training materials.
9. Sample Deliverables: Feature launch analysis, product-market fit assessment.
10. Delivery & Support
11. Partnership with Customer Success, Help Desk analytics (improving data/insights), Customer e-Training solutions, and Implementation teams.
12. Sample Deliverables: Service improvement plan, onboarding redesign, continuous improvement through automated solutions delivery (embedding GenAI into non-value add functions)
13. Commercial & Finance
14. Engagement with Sales, Sales Enablement and Finance.
15. Sample Deliverables: Pricing strategy, revenue leakage analysis, GTM optimization.
